About the role
We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our core infrastructure team. You'll work on the systems that power Axon's real-time suggestion engine — handling millions of requests per day with sub-50ms latency requirements.
What you'll do
Design and build distributed systems that scale to millions of active users
Own the suggestion pipeline from model inference to editor delivery
Work closely with ML engineers to optimize model serving performance
Participate in on-call rotation and incident response
What we're looking for
5+ years of backend engineering experience
Strong experience with Rust, Go, or similar systems languages
Experience with distributed systems and high-throughput APIs
Familiarity with LLM inference and model serving is a plus
